Course Overview
Students will learn how to build a basic website in a modular manner. This means they won't be building the website in a single day, but rather working on small portions of the final site every day until we reach the desired result. They will also be provided with daily exercise files to learn the concepts of plug and play needed to build the site. Their instructor will demonstrate many of these concepts via virtual sessions and recorded tutorial videos examples. And if you ever get stuck, there's a discussion board for anyone who needs help. Welcome to Introduction to Web Design. We are looking forward to seeing the website you all build in this course!

Basic layout and establish content to add to the website.
Add text and images to the website platform.
Style the layout and interface.
Add media: video and/or audio.

OBJECTIVE
Students will learn how to choose a website template that best fits the clients needs.
Students will learn how to create a layout that works best. They will also learn what content is needed for the website.
Students will learn how to add content.
Students will learn how to choose background colors/images, fonts, layout widths, etc.
Students will learn how to add media to the website.
Students will learn how to add search engine optimization basics to the site.
Students will learn how to connect the site to the domain url.
If time permits, students will learn how to make the site mobile device responsive.
